It’s Friday… It’s Spring and soon to be summer!!  Oh, and did I mention??? It’s Friday! 🙂 I love the weekend, as I’m sure you do too.  Time to slow down and spend more time with family and friends and this sometimes includes a meal together which may also include a cocktail or mocktail!  I have found the MOST FUN glasses to add to your china cabinet!  These are so fun and I have a few recipes to go along with them.

Lemonade

Refreshing summer drink for the kids. No spills thanks to the lid and straw!

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 8-12 lemons
  • mint sprigs

Start by making your simple syrup but heating up the water and sugar on the stovetop and stir dill completely dissolved.. set aside to cool.  Juice all of your lemons, keep pulp if you like and discard the seeds.  Pour into a large pitcher, add about 6 cups of cold water to the lemon juice, start adding the simple syrup until it’s as sweet as you like.  Pour into the glasses along with fresh ice, lemon wedges and mint sprigs. Enjoy!

swan shape glasses

Swan Glasses

Classic Margarita

The Swan’s Body looks like a lime so I’m thinking of a lime margarita! Classic and Thirst Quenching!

  • 1 oz of fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz of cointreau
  • 2 oz of a very good tequila

Add some crushed ice to your glass.  To a cocktail shaker with about 5-7 ice cubes,  add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into the prepared swan glass and sprinkle a dusting of flakey salt and garnish with a lime wheel. These come with a straw so sip and enjoy!

Negroni Cocktail

Last time I had one of these was at a rooftop bar in Milan… It was so delish and I’m pretty sure the view of the city helped in the experience.

  • 1 oz of Campari
  • 1oz of Gin
  • 1 oz of Sweet Vermouth

Add ice to your glass and then add all 3 ingredients, stir until mixed.  Garnish with an orange peel.
