Golden Threads

The colour yellow. Promotes feelings of warmth, friendship, creativity and welcoming. It’s such a happy colour and I don’t think that we use it enough, other than floral arrangements. I’m looking around my house and I have one picture frame that is bright yellow, and that is it!

A great way to add yellow into your home is simple and the foyer, or front entrance, is a great place to start. Since yellow is a cheerful colour it will greet your guests, and you, with a smile! Floral arrangements are easy and available all year long. Add some yellow rain boots or a bright yellow umbrella to your stand. You can also take pretty much any iron/metal wall sconce or pendant light and have it sprayed in yellow for an added sense of light.

Accent cushions and throws are an easy way to introduce this energetic colour into a family room, especially in the spring and summer months. Once Autumn rolls around, you can easily put them away until next year when you are ready for the vibrant colour again.
