Fantabulous Friday Finds- Feb 27 – Water Colour Painting!
I Love to draw, paint, sculpt, sketch… pretty much anything that involves art. It was my favourite class in elementary school and in High School! When I had my first year of college, I took an Art Fundamentals class and I was in my element! School was so much fun!! Now, I still get to create and I love everything I do but I wanted to take some time to get back into being more creative so I am taking an online class for watercolours and these are the items I just purchased so I can follow along and create my first piece 🙂 Let me know if you want the name of the course, it’s easy to follow along.
This Water Colour Travel Paint set has 48 colours that you can mix up and form any colour, pens, a tray and the cutest little tin travel box. I might bring it on my next trip to the beach! Small enough for my carry on 🙂
These Jelly Roll pens come in three different line weights and you use them to add highlights to your work. Think little white glitter, a shine on the edge of a glass.
You need some black fine tip pens in different line weights to help with shading, outlining objects and details. These are waterproof and they won’t fade.
After you outline your subject in pencil and start the wash of colour, you’ll be wanting to erase the pencil and these kneadable erasers are my favourite for pencil and charcoal. Set of 4.
You need Water Colour Paper! I chose these pads of Cold Pressed, Acid Free Paper.
I chose these brushes because I am getting pretty much every size and shape and once I get better then I can splurge on some other brushes if needed. Love the little travel case these came in as well.
